[DECRYPTED INTENT] - The Subtext Analysis
My old man's private equity firm gave us the seed capital, the first office, and introduced me to half the board members. The 'late nights' were mostly spent at exclusive launch parties or reviewing my stock portfolio. This post is to deflect from the fact that our last quarter's numbers are flat and the team is burnt out from *actual* work, not 'mindset shifts.' I need to project strength and 'inspiration' so the VCs don't question my leadership, and maybe a few hungry juniors will work harder for less equity, thinking they'll be me someday. Plus, it makes me feel good about myself when I ignore the actual struggle of others.
