REST APPROVED Necktie

details

My career started in private equity. The first things I hated were suits, neckties, and watches. You wear them to win client trust — though whether appearance really matters is another question. After I left funds, I moved into startups and IT, where neckties disappeared. I still think of a tie as something that binds you to work.

Startups and IT have their own version. Slack status lights. Official hours might be 9–6 and the lamp is green — but mentally you're expected to stay green all the time. Fake smiles. People you can't stand. Even the CEO. lol

This product crosses the necktie — symbol of being bound to work — with the status lamp. A requiem for the soul.

REST APPROVED.
